A Bardstown man is arrested for allegedly threatening people with a chainsaw.

The Nelson County sheriff said that on Tuesday, Gregory Byrd went to Joe Hills Powersports and Equipment to have the chainsaw worked on.

But when he was told they couldn't do it because the store was closing, police said he began to wave it around.

Police said cellphone video showed Byrd running over a golf cart in the parking lot with his truck before driving away.

He was arrested a short time later.

Byrd will be arraigned next week on several charges: operating a motor vehicle under the influence, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening, reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
